Chapters in the History of the Zionist movement and the revival of Israel in its land are displayed on the elegant album pages of "The Shamir Brothers - designers who became an icon" (published Elul, Tel Aviv 2016). Each poster, stamp, banknote, currency, illustration, logo, reflected in the graphic design their talent and feelings of love for the people and the homeland. The brothers Gabriel and Maxim Shamir, accompanied the Jewish community and the state of Israel through their artwork and designs since their arrival from Latvia in 1934 and continued to do so in the first four decades of the state. The Israeli state emblem that was approved by the State Council on 10 February 1949 is their contribution to the realization of the dream of generations. Yoram E. Shamir, son of Gabriel Shamir succeeded by publishing this beautiful album to preserve "the legend to Shamir" for future generations.
