Logo Ma'ariv - Ma'ariv was born in a storm - a group of journalists and employees of the Yediot Ahronot newspaper left the paper in 1948 and established a rival evening paper
Yediot Ma'ariv - Yediot in large letters and Ma'ariv - in tiny letters. Yehuda Moses, owner of Yediot Ahronot sued the deserters, Ezriel Carlebach and his friends. The court ruled that they had to highlight the name Ma'ariv . Carlebach then invited the Shamir Brothers to design a new Logo for his paper as well as for the various sections in the paper
Over the years, there have been changes to the font used in the logo, but the basic layout has not changed - the name Ma'ariv with a curved bold underline simulating a brush
stroke. The colour of the logo is red similar to that of Yediot Aharonot
The Ma'ariv concern was sold over and over again. In 2013 it was sold to the owners of - First Origin
Laid-off journalists established a weekend newspaper called - Sofhashavuah
In mid 2014 Ma'ariv was again sold, this time to the Jerusalem Post group and was combined with Sofhashavua as Ma'ariv Hashavuah. The consolidated newspaper's logo is a combination of the logos of the two papers
