The story of the 50 pounds note
An Email from Meira Armani, sent after she participated at the launch of the Shamir brothers book, in which she writes:
The depicted girl was my neighbor in the Yemenite Quarter. Her name is Zruiah Shkedi and she was a beautiful girl.
The one who sent her to have her picture taken at studio, Pri-or, on Allenby Street (on the roof) was a friend who served in the IDF with her sister. At the time, she never thought nothing of it, and he pressed her to do it. Another invitee to the studio was a very tall parachutist. The friend who pressed her to have her picture taken was Jacob Landau who worked at the Shamir studio. [Landau later worked freelance as a graphic designer].
Since then..... Zruiah has been interviewed many times on her moment of fame.
