The pilot Shabtai Gilboa (87), who modeled for the poster "The Best for Pilots" 1962 by the Shamir brothers, passed away. Gilboa finished his service in the Air Force with the rank of colonel and moved to El Al as captain. Nov 2021

“Shamir Brothers - designers who become an icon" - This is the title of an art book displaying a selection of over 400 designs from the work of Shamir Brothers. Some of these works are published for the first time. The introduction was written by Prof. Yarom Vardimon, Israel Prize Laureate. A comprehensive study of Shamir Brothers' work was written by Dr. Malka Ben-Peshat and an article on the selection process of the Israeli State emblem was written by Yoram Shamir and Daniela Gardosh Santo. The graphical items are displayed in eight chapters: Banknotes, Coins and medals, Posters, Packaging, Logos and Emblems, Ads, Postage stamps and Printed matters. Editor: Yoram Shamir, English translation: Uri Shamir, Design and production: Studio Elul. 276 pages. A book launching promotional event will be held on September 23, 2016.
