Shamir Brothers created human figures and images that became the icons of the brand or company. Even after Shamir ceased serving the customer, the character image they created continued to be used by the company. A good example is the housewife using the Paztox Flit Spray that they created which continued to star in future ads designed for Paztox by other graphic artists.
In the late 50s and early 60s Shamir designed a number of food product labels for Marks and Spencer under their St Michael name. We have tried to get copies of these from Marks and Spencers' archive and were informed that they intend to digitise their material at some point in the future.
