The pilot Shabtai Gilboa (87), who modeled for the poster "The Best for Pilots" 1962 by the Shamir brothers, passed away. Gilboa finished his service in the Air Force with the rank of colonel and moved to El Al as captain. Nov 2021

George Schneiweis Wise the first president of Tel Aviv University

George Wise medal is granted by the President of Tel Aviv University for the outstanding elite. The medal was established on 1986 and the first winner was Dr. Wise himself, 15 years after completing his term as the first president of the university. Medals have been awarded so far to 9 people (compared to 288 who received an honorary doctorate during this period). Among the winners were Abba Eban, Ephraim Katzir, Ilan Ramon (after his death), and recently, Stanley Fischer.
