Dear Mr. Cohen, I was pleased to see the excellent supplement for 70 years of Ma'ariv. I appreciate the respect you have given to various artists - writers, artists and photographers - whose works appeared in the newspaper many years ago.

At the same time, I regretted that the work of the Shamir brothers - the only item of artwork that has appeared in your newspaper for 70 years - has not been mentioned - the Ma'ariv Logo. Although a few years ago you introduced a slight variation of the original logo it was still based on the Shamir's design.

For your information, the Shamir brothers also designed logos for Maariv's section heads and a poster for Maariv (see Shamir-brothers.com).
