A recent message from Gigi (Guido) Shamir, the nephew of the Shamir brothers, attached this painting by Guttel (Gabriel): "I know Guttel gave it to me. He pulled out of a drawer in which there were probably various samples of his work that had already been started or other samples. The work is on the back of cardboard and he told me that he wanted to try something new, I mean something with "running water".

 This poster, designed by the Shamir brothers in the 1950s for Davar, was seen by Yoram Shamir at the "Norman" Hotel in Tel Aviv. This is the most expensive hotel in Tel Aviv and it is a bit ironic that they chose to display a poster of the Histadrut newspaper
