The editor of "Fri-Sat" of "Israel Today" chose a poster by the Shamir brothers to illustrate an article by Yair Nitzani on the deterioration of the status of the Hebrew language. The poster "For your and your children's sake, learn Hebrew!" Commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture during the years of the great aliyah (1950s). The subtitle - "One language - one people". 

Two Shamir brothers related items appear in this week's article by David Sela.  A medal designed by Yaakov Zim using the logo of the song festival that was designed by the Shamir brothers and the top half of a Shamir poster for Shelltox - a spray against mosquitoes and bugs.

 " Post your holidays greetings early" - a poster, designed by the Shamir brothers for the Israel Post, appears in "Israel Today", half a page in the "70 Years After" section, edited by David Sela. The poster was included by him a week ago in the "Greetings from the past" corner on Channel 13.  Sep 2021

The poster  "Welcome - Travel on the Hebrew ship!" was commissioned by the Israel Maritime company to welcome the passenger ship "Kedma" to the port of Tel Aviv. This was the first ship of the Zim company.

David Sela's nostalgic section of "Israel Today" (February 21, 2020) features 3 works by the Shamir brothers: a poster of the Ministry of Agriculture "Wild herb sabotages your crops - annihilate it", a Tempo poster "The Fresh Drink in the Fresh Bottle", and an advertisement for the Bejarano Brother's Cigarettes "Our generation requires Reudor."​

"Israel Today" marks the declaration of the State emblem on February 10, 1949 in the section "Seventy Years After" by David Sela. After nine months of deliberations, the Provisional Council of the State unanimously accepted the emblem design proposal of the Shamir brothers. On June 19, the brothers received the prize, 200 IL. The brothers received an apology saying: In the difficult financial conditions of the state, the treasury can not make a larger sum available for your prize.   February 2019

A Shamir brothers' razor blades "Okava" poster appears in David Sela's "70 Years Ago" article of Israel Hayom. The Shamir brothers designed the factory emblem, posters and advertisements in the press. 

 Two works by Shamir Brothers appear in David Sela's weekly article "70 years after" in Israel Hayom (Image rearranged for this web-site). The  poster "The speculator - is your enemy, the the black market - your disaster! ". At the bottom of the article is a "Tortina" ad, a chocolate bar, made by CeDe in Ramat Gan. The ad was designed in banner format: inch height and full page width.

The "Every penny for local produce 1947 - locally manufactured goods movement" poster is accompanied by an old news item: "What a shame, Australian cloth in Eretz Israel" and the poster from 1948, "A Tax for Our Defense," illustrates a news item from the same period: "House arrests to Prevent Dodging Donations"

A Shamir Brothers poster for Sherf Shaving Stick from 1936 is featured in David Sela's article in Israel Hayom's weekly supplement.
