A Bottle for a special occasion

The Salomon couple and the Shamir couple met on a ship on their way to Israel in the mid-1930s. Their friendship lasted throughout their lives. When Herbert purchased a vacation home in Moshav Asseret, Max and Mussia Shamir joined. The second generation Gideon and Bea Shamir and Mishi and Tzipi Salomon moved to permanent residence in the village. When Max Shamir produced the film "Emil and the Detectives" based on Erich Kestner's book, he invited Dorshin to act in the film. The Shamir brothers occasionally combined humor in their advertisements designs and also created humorous works for clients and friends. They worked for wine manufacturers and breweries; Hence the idea for the label for the fictional drink - Salomon.

It was designed by Shamir in 1946 in honour of the tenth wedding anniversary of Herbert and Dorshin Salomon. The bottle is in the collection of their youngest son Michael (Mishi) Salomon.

The consumer instructions on the label state: "The whole bottle to be drunk 1-2 seconds before reaching the climax". May 2021
