The pilot Shabtai Gilboa (87), who modeled for the poster "The Best for Pilots" 1962 by the Shamir brothers, passed away. Gilboa finished his service in the Air Force with the rank of colonel and moved to El Al as captain. Nov 2021

Students Annual contest

A souvenir album presented by the Shamir brothers to the Minister of Postal services, Mordechai Nurock, with stamps designed by them. Tel Aviv, Kislev 1952.

At the front of the album, the handwritten dedication: "In honor of the Minister, Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Nurock, leader of Latvian Jewry, a modest souvenir gift - a collection of years of labour in the homeland of two sons of Riga, from his admirers the Shamir Brothers . . Tel Aviv, December 1952"

Included in the album: the state emblem, the Israel Postal services emblem and 18 stamps. Six Postage stamps and twelve "consular" stamps of two types. "Consular stamps" were used to document payment of official fees for Visas, exit permits and similar. They were stuck on the official documents e.g. passports or other official forms.
